Chris brings near thirty years of experience advancing needs-first innovation, co-creation, systemic design and customer-centred strategy. He has advised companies in a variety of industries and sectors throughout the world. These include pharmaceutical, medtech, health IT, automotive, consumer goods, financial services, materials, chemicals, transport and communications technology companies, as well as government, research and care provider organisations.
His broad experience of driving innovation through advanced front-end methods has given Chris a uniquely practical and powerful perspective on how organisations can build and adapt the capabilities needed to discover, create and sustain advanced forms of value. He’s developed deep expertise in healthcare, and is the creator of Health Ecosystem Value Design®.
From 2006-2013, Chris was MD of Strategyn UK, delivering the outcome-driven innovation methodology throughout Europe. In this time, he grew the company to become the largest outside of the US.
Chris has an MPhil from Cranfield School of Management, an MA in economic planning and a BA (hons) in Geography from Liverpool University. He became a visiting fellow at Cranfield in 2012, and has several publications in academic journals and chapters in books.
Chris is also a black/white street photographer when on long walks around the world's cities, loves jazz and is learning the trumpet. He lives near Oxford, UK.
